Peter Hook and the Light are an English rock band formed by Peter Hook, the bassist and co-founder of iconic post-punk bands Joy Division and New Order. The Light were created in 2010, as a means for Hook to continue performing the songs he helped create, while also showcasing his own material.

Since their formation, Hook and the Light have performed around the world, delivering electrifying live shows that celebrate the legendary music of Joy Division and New Order. The band is known for their high-energy performances, which draw on the intense punk aesthetic of the late '70s and early '80s.

Peter Hook and the Light have released several albums and live recordings, including 2013's critically acclaimed "Live at the Hacienda", which features recordings of the band's performances at the legendary Manchester nightclub.
