Origin Story – The post-US election edition, live!

Come join Dorian Lynskey and Ian Dunt as they try to make sense of the US election result, just two days after the vote. Will American democracy still be alive and well or will it be on the path to fascism for dummies under Trump 2.0?

This show could go one of two ways: it will either be the mother of all parties, or the mother of all group therapy sessions. Either way, come down to the beautiful Tabernacle in West London and be with friends.

We’ll be breaking down the campaign and the results from an Origin Story perspective, explaining what it means for populism, fascism, conspiracy theories, culture wars and Trumpworld grotesques like Elon Musk. We’ll be discussing some of the linguistic oddities of American politics and we’ll be taking questions from the smartest audience in the United States of Podcasts.

Also: we have books out. Have we mentioned that? This show will double up as the official launch of the new Origin Story book series. The run kicks off with Fascism (possibly pertinent), Centrism (hopefully pertinent) and Conspiracy Theory (definitely pertinent). We’ll have shiny new copies available at the show for selling and signing.
