Not the Only One: Delivering Justice for the Wrongly Convicted

Please join us for the annual CALA in-person conference.

Following the exoneration of Andy Malkinson and the sub-postmasters, this year’s event will bring together key speakers involved in the various aspects of overturning wrongful convictions to discuss recent miscarriages of justice and recommendations for reform and to provide practical pointers and updates for practitioners.

The event will include panel discussions exploring the importance of journalism and the media in highlighting miscarriages of justice; practitioners' experiences of working on miscarriage of justice cases; and the role of investigation when justice miscarries.

The event is open to all.

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day. Lunch will also be provided.

When: 9th November 2024, Registration 09.30 - 09.55 and conference from 10.00 - 15.45 (delegate pack including programme will be sent in advance of the conference).

Cost: £20 for members / pupils / students / trainees and £40 for everyone else including non-members.
