He formed Wishbone Ash in 1969 with guitarist Ted Turner and drummer Steve Upton – the band quickly gained popularity with their signature twin-guitar sound that incorporated elements of blues, rock, and jazz.
Turner's contributions to Wishbone Ash's sound were significant, not only as a bassist but also as a vocalist and songwriter.
