Marika Hackman
Marika Hackman is an English singer-songwriter who has been making waves in the rock-pop scene since her debut in 2015. Born in Hampshire, England in 1992, Hackman’s love for music developed at a young age, so much so that she went on to study music at the prestigious (and extremely selective) Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
Hackman's sound is often described as a blend of indie-rock and folk with a slinky, dark undertone to her music. Her lyrics often explore themes of sexuality, anxiety, and mental health, expressing them through beautiful and evocative songwriting.
In 2015, Hackman released her debut album, We Slept At Last, to widespread critical acclaim.
