Maria Shehata: Wisdomless (WIP)

Maria Shehata has a different idea on how to live life than her family, her culture, and her long-distance fiancé with whom she had mostly a FaceTime relationship. Based on her critically acclaimed 2017 and 2019 Edinburgh Fringe shows, the multi-award winning Egyptian-American comedian shares stand up and storytelling of her whimsical move from Los Angeles to London for love, and the aftermath of it all falling apart.

Maria Shehata is a multi award-winning Egyptian-American comedian based in London, and has been featured on Comedy Central, Showtime, Dave, Comic Relief, and BBC. Her writing has been featured in the prestigious "Modern Love" column in the New York Times, and she was shortlisted as Top Five Best New Acts and named Pick of the Fringe at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
