Lowest of the Low is a Canadian rock band that formed in Toronto in the early 1990s. They were a prominent part of the indie rock scene in Canada in the 90s, and their music has been described as a mix of punk, folk, and rock.

The band's original lineup was made up of Ron Hawkins on vocals, Steve Stanley on guitar, David Alexander on bass, and Pam Brady on drums. They released their debut album, Shakespeare My Butt, in 1991, which quickly gained them a following. The album was a critical success, earning rave reviews and winning multiple awards.
