The Scorpions are a legendary German rock and pop band that have been making music since 1965. Throughout their career, the Scorpions have released more than 20 albums and sold over 100 million records worldwide.
Formed in Hanover, Germany, the Scorpions were founded by guitarist Rudolf Schenker and vocalist Klaus Meine. In the beginning, the band's sound was heavily influenced by British rock and roll as well as the emerging psychedelia of the late '60s.
In the early '70s, the Scorpions moved away from their psychedelic roots and began to incorporate hard rock and heavy metal elements into their music.
