"Arrival" is a coming of age for two artists on the rise. Khanvict, the Pakistan-born and Surrey-raised producer and Raaginder, the Bay Area raised violinist, have created a sacred space for listeners to join them on a journey to the outermost reaches of themselves. The duo blend their distinct styles, weaving together acoustic and electronic sounds, to take the audience on a soul-stirring and emotional journey. The tour travels from Indian Classical music with live musicians, to bass driven electronic music and everything in between. As the lights dim and the stage comes alive, beautiful synced visuals emerge in harmony with the sonic soundscapes, transporting the listeners to deserts and lush forests.

Khanvict and Raaginder have honed their artistic journeys, not just as musicians, but as human beings attuned to their deepest sensitivities. Collectively, their music is streamed millions of times around the world, and their collaborations have culminated in the upcoming Arrival EP. This evolution - from friends, to co-creators is evident in every aspect of the show, from the meticulously crafted visuals to the intricate arrangements of their compositions.

Khanvict (Asad Khan):

Surrey-based Asad Khan (aka Khanvict) is an escape artist. His cinematic production style, which has led to 100K monthly listeners on spotify and over 10 million streams online, transports the listener to the desert expanses and jungle paradises from which he borrows inspiration. Khanvict deftly manages to stay close to his Pakistani roots, while drawing from artists like Clozee and Troyboi to create a contemporary low-end homage to his homeland.

Last year saw Khanvict’s ‘Closer’ receive the Prism Prize, Canada’s top music video award. The politically charged song has racked up almost 5 Million plays on YouTube, seen him gain over 60K subscribers on the platform, and garnered global press from Rolling Stone to Times of India to The Hindu. The short film supporting the song was a collaboration involving filmmaker Anjali Nayar, model / activist Seema Hari and a hauntingly beautiful exploration of issues of colorism, casteism and misogyny in South Asian culture. That song, and Khanvict’s recent remix of AR Rahman’s ‘Tere Bina’, were both featured in the recent hit Disney show ‘Ms Marvel’.

Coming up in the South Asian community of Surrey, BC, Khanvict’s heart has always been in the live experience. The upcoming Arrival EP and tour are an exploration of the deep relationship between he and frequent collaborator Raaginder. The artists have spent much of the last year conceiving, writing, and building this work of art - a visionary experience combining custom visuals, live instrumentation and live electronica. Both artists applaud the recent upsurge in South Asian representation and are excited to level up the production and performance quality. This is a show that symbolizes the coming of age of an entire community, aptly named - ‘The Arrival Tour’.
