Mika
Title: Mika: The Beacon of Eclectic Pop

Mika, the songwriter, pop singer, and performer known for his extravagant, high-octane stage presence, kaleidoscope of musical influences, and soaring falsettos, is a fascinating subject for fans of eclectic pop.

Born Michael Holbrook Penniman Jr. on August 18, 1983, in Beirut, Lebanon, to a Lebanese mother and American father, Mika’s diverse roots inherently influenced his performance style. Mika’s family moved to Paris when he was only a year old due to the Lebanese civil war, and subsequently relocated to London when he was nine. This worldly upbringing resulted in Mika having an unusual blend of influences and an extraordinarily flexible voice, capable of shifting from deep baritone to thrilling falsetto.
