Janet Kay’s chart topping single Silly games put her in the Music Guinness book of records for becoming the first British born black female Reggae artist to have a No.1 in the British pop charts. Carroll Thompson’s iconic self produced and penned album Hopelessly in love was voted the Best Lovers Rock album of all time.Janet Kay also received an MBE for services to music in King Charles III 2023 honours list. Carroll Thompson & Janet Kay voted on the list of ‘100 Great Black Britons’ & Barclays Women of Merit winners.
