This June BSMT will be opening ‘Elsewhere’, the debut UK solo exhibition by Thai artist Manow Nowhere (Pacharaman Korppaiboon). Through this new collection of paintings we are introduced to the surreal, internal world of Manow — a character which has grown to represent courage and the freedom to think and create, an alter ego that dares to push past old limits and explore the new and unfamiliar.
In her paintings, the character Manow journeys through fantastical landscapes inspired by her favourite films and experiences a colourful and borderless world – often accompanied by her loyal sidekick Bambii who frequently appears alongside her in each adventure.
“This show is a glimpse into a character’s inner world where imagination blends with reality, and ordinary moments slip into the surreal,” says the artist. “These artworks capture the quiet adventures in-between spaces, inviting us to wander somewhere not far, just… elsewhere.”
‘Elsewhere’ bridges reality and fantasy with a tone that’s at once personal and universally resonant. Each piece capturing the wonder of escapism while subtly commenting on individuality and freedom of expression. It's a visual diary for the curious, the dreamers, and those searching for something just beyond the surface.
Manow Nowhere (Pacharaman Korppaiboon) is a Thai contemporary artist born in 2000, based in Bangkok. She graduated from KMITL University with a degree in Painting and is known for crafting surreal, character-driven works that begin life in 3D software before being meticulously transformed into dreamlike paintings. Her art is a celebration of freedom, imagination, and storytelling.
Join us for the private view of ‘Elsewhere’ on June 26th from 6–9pm. The exhibition runs from June 27th to July 13th 2025. Drinks for the opening night courtesy of our friends at Jubel Beer.
