Daryl Hall is a musician, songwriter, and producer who rose to fame in the late 1970s as one half of the duo Hall & Oates. Over the course of his long career, he has had a major impact on the rock, pop, and R&B genres, and his music is still beloved by fans all over the world today.

Born in 1946 in Pennsylvania, Hall began playing music at a young age and quickly became known for his soulful voice and songwriting skills. After meeting fellow musician John Oates in college, the duo began performing together and eventually signed a record deal with RCA Records.

Their first album, 1972's "Whole Oats," didn't make much of an impact, but over the next few years, they released a string of successful albums and singles, including "Sara Smile," "Rich Girl," and "Kiss on My List.
