A Midsummer Night's Dream At The Barbican!

From the frost-kissed depths of midwinter to the spellbinding warmth of a midsummer night, Shakespeare's classic comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream, is set to bring laughter, love, and lunacy to the Barbican Theatre from December 3rd.

Directed by the brilliant Eleanor Rhode and starring Mathew Baynton (known for his roles in Ghosts and Horrible Histories) as the unforgettable Bottom, watch as the enchanted forest comes alive with playful fairies, misguided lovers, and a troupe of bumbling actors. This production brings a unique twist to Shakespeare's timeless tale, blending magic and mischief into one joyous celebration!

The Plot

In the heart of Athens, four young lovers are faced with an uncertain future. Desperate to escape their impending fates, they flee into the forest, where the lines between the real world and the fairy realm blur. As mischievous sprites meddle in their affairs and a group of amateur actors rehearse a play for the Duke's wedding, chaos and comedy ensue. Will true love find its way, or will the night end in a dream too strange to believe?
