Robert Forster Robert Forster is one of the most influential figures in the rock and pop music scenes. He is best known for his work as the lead singer and guitarist of the influential Australian band The Go-Betweens. The band released eight studio albums between 1978 and 2005, and are considered one of the most important and influential acts of the 1980s indie rock scene.
Forster has also had a successful solo career, releasing seven solo albums since 1992, and has collaborated with other artists such as The Church, The Go-Betweens and The Triffids. He has also written a number of film soundtracks, and his songwriting has been covered by artists such as Neil Finn, Florence and The Machine and Belle and Sebastian.
