Fronted by lead singer and songwriter, Dana Margolin, Porridge Radio originally started as her solo project around 2012 in the eclectic city of Brighton, UK. The band's unique moniker, was claimed to have derived during a conversation between Margolin and a friend, in what she calls a silly dialogue about breakfast cereals. In what started as a bedroom project, gradually evolved to attract like-minded musicians who breathed life into Margolin's melancholic, introspective tunes.
