There will be 8 open mic slots on the night, sign up in advance but don’t worry if you don’t get a guaranteed slot because there will also be some wild card picks on the night too! Email us or DM Vig for open mic inquiries 🎤

HEADLINERS
En route back from a tour of the States, JASMINE GARDOSI is the former Birmingham Poet Laureate and an Honorary Doctor of Letters. They are a multiple slam champion, beatboxer, winner of the Out-Spoken Prize for Poetry and winner of the Saboteur Award for Best Spoken Word Performer 2023. Their work exploring identity, LGBTQ issues and mental health has appeared on Button Poetry, at the Tate Modern, Glastonbury Festival, Symphony Hall and BBC. They have taken their poetry across Europe, including at Romania’s Transylvania International Spoken Word Festival, and Estonia’s historical, first-ever queer poetry slam for Baltic Pride. Most recently, they were funded by West Midlands Combined Authority to perform and run workshops for the poetry and queer communities in the Philippines. YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS!
NATHAN LUNT is a West Midlands poet, performer, educator and writing mentor, creating weird and wonderful works inspired by the best and worst life has to offer. His writing varies in style and theme from piece to piece - sometimes concerned with deeply personal or social issues, sometimes reflecting on simple observations or telling fantastical stories. Regardless of the subject, he strives for honesty, originality and personality in everything he writes. You can find his work on instagram @virtual_scribe.

From Stafford, Midlands but recently graduated with a music degree in Birmingham ✊ Member of local Indie Soft Rock band; Eighty Eight Miles, amongst other jazz, contemporary, R&B, folk, classical projects too.
Tyriq Baker ~ Sax
Is a musician, composer, songwriter, actor, music producer and multi-instrumentalist born and raised in Birmingham. He is pianist in the up and coming Birmingham music collective @samplethekids , who have performed all across Birmingham, and regularly plays saxophone gigs at @theginvault.
