Poet's Palace Birmingham

Poet’s Palace are so excited to be expanding their community, discovering new poetic talent and inviting new wonderful audiences to spoken word events in Birmingham 👏

The night is accompanied by live music and will be hosted by a previous London performer, the highly esteemed local poet and Prince of the Palace - Vig Venkataramaiah

DR LIZ LETCHFORD is a transformational artist, spoken word poet and the founder of Body Church. She bridges the worlds of science and theatre to bring health and vitality to the body through self expression.

RAYRITES. What is a poem? That’s exactly what my question is. I want my poetry to heal hearts and dry tears I want to create medicine for the world. But how is the world supposed to know my name if I’m not the first to scream it?

From Stafford, Midlands but recently graduated with a music degree in Birmingham ✊ Member of local Indie Soft Rock band; Eighty Eight Miles, amongst other jazz, contemporary, R&B, folk, classical projects too.

Tyriq Baker ~ Sax
Is a musician, composer, songwriter, actor, music producer and multi-instrumentalist born and raised in Birmingham. He is pianist in the up and coming Birmingham music collective @samplethekids , who have performed all across Birmingham, and regularly plays saxophone gigs at @theginvault.

There will be 8 open mic slots on the night, sign up in advance but don’t worry if you don’t get a guaranteed slot because there will also be some wild card picks on the night too! Email us or DM Vig for open mic inquiries 🎤

The audience will vote for their favourite open micer and the winner will feature at the next Birmingham event 🔥
