Workshop: Incorporation Law for Startups

Goal of the workshop

The aim is to enable prospective founders to set up their startup in a legally secure manner and to sensitize them in good time to the typical legal problems involved in founding a startup. The workshop focuses on the founding and financing of a start-up. In addition, the basics of labor, contract, data protection and copyright law will be presented.

After an introductory lecture on the content and purpose of the legal principles, there will be ample opportunity to answer individual questions.

Your coach

The speaker, Holger Schütz, is a lawyer and notary in Berlin and knows the relevant issues very well thanks to his many years of advising and supporting start-ups. Particularly in the early start-up phase - dominated by the business idea and business plan - there are some special legal features to take care of. Legal precautions are indispensable here in order to be able to safely manage all legal consequences with regard to the business, exit or failure of the start-up. After all, legal aftercare is neither possible nor cost-effective.

Participation

The workshop takes place on-site at the Startup Incubator Berlin, located at the Berlin """>span>" Siemensstadt Square, just a few steps away from the U7 subway station Rohrdamm.

Registration is possible here until the day before the event at 14:00 h, the number of participants is limited to 25 people. Please let us know early if you registered, but will be unable to attend. That way, we can accomodate attendees on the waiting list.

Due to the required registration at the gate and the access route to your workshop room, we ask participants to arrive no later than 15:45 h at the reception gate of our location (Rohrdamm 88, 13629 Berlin-Siemensstadt) where you will be met by our staff. A photo ID (passport, driver's license, etc.) is required for access to the Siemens factory premises.

The workshop is free of charge for all participants, as it is publicly funded. For administrative purposes, our sponsors require enrollment in our participants’ lists (with full name, e-mail address, signature) on site.
