Pretty Average invited the bands Bed and Fluffy Maybes to accompany them in their September tour stop in Berlin to complete a sonic experience that we won't forget.

Pretty Average strives to bring a fresh musical perspective to Berlin, that of a frontwoman who sets out to make a difference with her songwriting. Candy sings her songs in a gender-indistinct manner, backed by the distortion and the raw sound that Sergi has been developing since relocating to Berlin himself.
They haven't stopped working on their music ever since. They intend to develop musically to help establish a musical counter-culture that resists today’s nihilism. A value that has been part of the band's identity since its beginning in late 2021.Last year Francisco Parisi produced the band for their latest release “All I wanted”, they published two editions of vinyl run, the first edition being sold out. Currently organising to keep working on singles with him until next year.

is a Berlin based band founded by Argentinian bass player Sol Astolfi and Chilean vocalist Nicolás Astorga in 2021. After initial experimentation and writing sessions, they invited German guitarist Ema Schiller to join. After the recording sessions for their first album, Turkish musician Eylul Deniz joined the ensemble. At its core, BED is a queer musical project, with a sound rooted in shoegaze, dream pop and post punk. Their lyrics are sad and sexual, weaving together threads of both vulnerability and desire, producing a body of work that challenges normative creative expression. This is exemplified in the vocalizations, which are intentionally gender ambiguous, representing a fluid identity throughout the album. Inspired by musicians such as Liz Harris (Grouper), Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine), Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau Twins), Courtney Love (Hole) and Bowery Electric, the band winds together iconic elements of the 90s scene, layered with ambient and influenced by the Berlin rave scene. On the upcoming release, BED collaborated with electronic music producer Cybermission, who contributed drums and synth on the first single. EVERYTHING HURTS, the introductory track to the intimate glistening universe of BED is an angelic cry for help: a swan song to save a breaking relationship or to repair a broken heart.

Fluffy

Maybes 松软许诺 is a kind of soft promise that may not be kept, a transcontinental musical experiment birthed in the pandemic. Finally meeting in person and under unexpected quarantine conditions, Jingyun and Robin recorded six hours of improvised sessions which eventually formed the single ‘Unnatural Disaster’ and the forthcoming EP. Moving through sounds of early electronica, sun-drenched psychedelia, and floating ambience, Fluffy Maybes 松软许诺 generate moments of spontaneous sonic playfulness, hypnotic pulses from other worlds and evolving waves of nature-inspired synthesis. Whatever happens in the future, at least for now we can shower you with some fluffy maybes.
