Niall Horan is an Irish singer-songwriter, guitarist, and member of the globally popular pop-rock band One Direction. Born on September 13, 1993, in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland, Niall grew up with a passion for music and had started playing guitar from a very young age.
Horan's professional career began when he auditioned for the seventh series of the British singing competition 'The X Factor' in 2010. Although he was initially rejected as a solo performer, judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, and Nicole Scherzinger saw potential in him and put him together with four other contestants, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik, to form a boy band, One Direction. The group performed exceptionally well and has since become one of the most popular music groups in the world, earning multiple awards and accolades.
