Ash
Ash is a Northern Irish rock band that first formed in Downpatrick, County Down in 1992. The band consists of three members, namely Tim Wheeler (vocals, guitar), Mark Hamilton (bass), and Rick McMurray (drums). Ash became known for their energetic live performances and infectious alternative rock sound that has drawn comparisons to Nirvana, The Buzzcocks, and The Ramones.

The band released their debut EP, "Trailer" in 1994 and soon after signed to Infectious Records. Their first full-length album, "1977" was released in 1996 and quickly climbed to number one on the UK album charts.
