Das Arsenal – Institut für Film und Videokunst präsentiert den ersten Teil des Films "Cheap People Are Other People 1–5" (2020) vom Berliner Kunstkollektiv CHEAP. Diese Vorführung ist Teil der Reihe Spätschicht x Volksbühne, die ein vielfältiges interdisziplinäres Programm bietet, darunter Gespräche, Buchpräsentationen, Filmscreenings sowie Konzerte und DJ-Sets.
Neben dem Film gibt es Live-Performances von Cortisa Star und Dylan Kerr sowie einen DJ-Satz von Bobby Beethoven. Vaginal Davis wird ihr Buch "Über gefährliches Terrain" vorstellen. Davis gilt als zentrale Figur der queeren, schwarzen Gegenkultur und ist seit ihrem Umzug nach Berlin vor 20 Jahren Teil des CHEAP-Kollektivs.

ℹ️ Event Details
The Arsenal Institute for Film and Video Art presents the first part of the film "Cheap People Are Other People 1–5" (2020), created by the Berlin art collective CHEAP. This screening is part of the Spätschicht x Volksbühne series, which features a variety of inter-disciplinary programs including discussions, book presentations, films, concerts, and DJ sets.
In addition to the film screening, there will be live performances by Cortisa Star and Dylan Kerr, as well as a DJ set from Bobby Beethoven. Vaginal Davis will present her book "Über gefährliches Terrain." Davis, a vital figure in queer Black counterculture, has been part of the CHEAP collective since moving to Berlin two decades ago.
